A. The Bahamas Building Code is published by the Government of the Bahamas and is obtained by contacting the Government Publications division of the Cabinet Office at phone number (242) 322-2410; or by writing to Government Publications, P.O. Box N7147, Nassau, Bahamas.

The first Bahamas Building code was introduced in 1971 and was subsequently updated in the Second Edition - 1987, which is the current edition in use. The Building Code is currently in the revision process and a new edition is expected within a year's time.
